Description of the place and location:
Only 25 km far from Wrocław, the comfortable residence built in country-house style "Willa ARKADIA" is located in the village of Wielka Lipa, which is characterised by the unbroken idyll of the Polish countryside, peace and quiet. The Villa itself is adjacent in one area to the friendly "Arkadia" Equestrian Centre, whose owner is open to contacts between Villa guests and the horses in the paddocks.
The village, with a permanent population of around 400 inhabitants, is agricultural in character, with very little traffic. It is situated at an altitude of 195 metres above sea level at the foot of the Trzebnickie Hills, on a plateau surrounded by forests. From there, it is only 20 km to the northern border of Wrocław, and 32 km to Wrocław Główny railway station. A similar distance is to the airport in Wrocław. Nearby (5 km) Oborniki Śląskie is a local shopping and service centre (Biedronka, Inter-Marche, Dino, doctor's surgeries etc.). 500 metres from the care home is the village centre with a Roman Catholic Church, a small outdoor sports and leisure centre and a grocery shop. The district hospital in Trzebnica with an ED on 24-hour duty is 15 minutes away by car.
Accommodation:
Guests of "Villa ARKADIA" are accommodated in comfortable single and double rooms with en-suite bathrooms with shower, wi-fi and TV (on request). Some rooms on the first floor have spacious loggias. Three rooms on the ground floor are adapted for the disabled. Each room is tastefully furnished and decorated.
The entire ground floor of the Villa of approx. 200 m² is at the guests' disposal: a large dining room, a representative fireplace room with a large TV, a piano and a screen with a projector for watching films of your choice in the evening, a spacious foyer serves as a playroom and a reading room, and on sunny days you can spend time on the veranda and the terrace, which are sheltered from the wind and the sun. A park-garden with paved walking paths and lawns for lounging complete the picture.
Sports and recreation:
A spacious and well-equipped fitness room and a sauna are at guests' disposal. Massages, yoga classes, physical therapy treatments for detoxification of the body and revitalisation can be booked on site. Hiking bikes can also be hired on site for a fee for excursions in the beautiful surroundings. Horse riding lessons are also available by prior reservation. The "Arkadia" Equestrian Centre is a category 1 facility according to the certification of the Polish Equestrian Federation.

Guests can order breakfast (buffet) and dinner (service provided by external catering).
Tourist attractions:
In the village itself is the "Elsenburg" palace complex, built in neo-Gothic style in 1899 for the von Waldenburg-Würben family. Today, the chateau is in private hands and very rarely opens its doors to the public. In addition, there is a neo-Gothic church from the mid-19th century in the village. At a distance of 5 km, there are two palaces, in Bagno (the oldest traces of settlement in the Polish territory) and in Brzeźno - a palace complex with a golf course and a wellness&spa area.
At a distance of 9 km, in the village of Uraz, there is a marina on the Oder River with tourist infrastructure, including two fish restaurants, a canoe rental, a canoeing station and a haven for Oder cruise boats.
The municipal swimming pool in Oborniki Śląskie with a separate area for swimmers is 5 km away. You can also get there by bike through the forest.
The history of the nearby (17 km) district town of Trzebnica, which has a population of just under 15,000, dates back to the Middle Ages. The basilica and sanctuary of St. Jadwiga Śląska and the monastery complex are definitely worth a visit.
Brzeg Dolny, with its beautifully located palace of the von Hoym family in a bend of the Oder River (currently, among other things, the seat of the city authorities) and the adjacent municipal park, is 25 km away.
We are 35 km from the Cistercian Abbey in Lubiaz, one of the largest monuments of its kind in Europe and the largest Cistercian abbey in the world, which is open daily to the public.
In addition, around the ARKADIA centre, within a radius of 50 km, there are numerous palaces, some of which can be visited and dined in the historic interiors of their beautiful restaurants, such as the Mojęcice Palace near Wołów.
It is 80 km to Ślęża, known as the Mountain of Slavs, and 90 km to Książ Castle.
The nearby Wrocław, a city with many tourist, recreational, sporting and cultural attractions, can also be a destination for multiple trips.
The Trzebnickie Hills are also a region of vineyards, lavender growing, beekeeping and fruit growing. Wine connoisseurs can visit one of the 10 nearby vineyards and taste the local wine along with buying it to take away. Sales of local wines, honey and lavender products are also available at the resort's reception.
