Żywiec - a town in the Silesian Voivodeship, located at the confluence of the Soła and Koszarawa rivers in the Żywiec Valley, on the Żywieckie Lake, at an altitude of 345-350 m above sea level. Historically, it is part of Małopolska. In the years 1945-1974, the city administratively belonged to the Krakow Province. In the years 1975-1998, the city administratively belonged to the Bielsko Province. Żywiec is located in southern Poland, in the Silesian Voivodeship, in a deep mountain depression - the Żywiec Valley, on the rivers Soła and Koszarawa joining the city center. The center is located at an altitude of about 345-350 m above sea level The lowest areas are the vicinity of the MZK depot - approx. 340 m above sea level (below the maximum level of Żywieckie Lake), and the highest north-eastern edges, in the area of Jaworzyna in Beskid Mały - approx. 830 m above sea level. it borders the communes of Czernichów, Łękawica, Gilowice, Świnna, Radziechowy-Wieprz, Lipowa and Łodygowice. The most outstanding mountain peaks visible from the vicinity of the city are the nearby Grojec (612 m), Łyska (614 m), Pilsko (1557 m), Babia Góra (1725 m), Lipowska (1324 m), Wielka Rycerzowa ( 1226 m asl), Romanka (1365 m asl), Wielka Racza (1236 m asl) and Skrzyczne (1257 m asl).Our center in Tresna is one of the largest sailing bases on Lake Żywiec. It is a convenient destination for weekend sailors from the vicinity of Bielsko-Biała, Żywiec and Oświęcim. We offer berths, a concrete slipway, a picnic area, a sailing tavern serving hot meals, accommodation in cabins and at the campsite, and a spacious parking lot. Throughout the season, we organize a number of occasional events, including the Opening of the Season, Regatta for the President's Cup in Bielsko-Biała, Regatta for the Commander's Cake and many, many others.
