Zakopane - a legendary city, a resort, the capital of the Tatra Mountains, and in winter, the capital of all of Poland. It's a good idea to come here for skiing in winter. The proximity to the slopes, the unique atmosphere, the vibrant highland folklore, and the beautiful landscapes will surely make you return many times. For some, Zakopane is a base for exploring the only high Polish mountains, while others come here simply to stroll along Krupówki Street – the city's main promenade, a meeting and entertainment venue. There are plenty of cozy cafes, exquisite restaurants, souvenir shops, and art galleries here. Zakopane offers more than just leather moccasins, warm highland wool sweaters, wooden aujapags, and oscypek cheese, but above all, its unique atmosphere.
