Watchtower used to be fortified defensive constructions surrounded by a wooden pallisade for better protection. A watchtower was on the courtyard surrounded by stables. Watchtowers were erected to provide guardianship and protection; therefore, they were built in the vicinity of the borders of a principality, or a county or a country.
Currently, the most common functions of watchtowers and stations is accommodation. They are a sort of campsites and camping sites. In some scouts' watchtowers, scout camps are organized. But the most popular type are sailing or fishing stations, or a combination of those two.
Sailing stations are usually available in the vicinity of popular waterways and their particular feature is that one can berth there their boat or leave boats or canoes in a specia room.
Fishing ststions are located by the water areas where fishing is possible. They consist mostly of the campsite, places for caravans, or cabins. Additionnaly, there is an obligatory sanitary facility, and often a place where we can buy or prepare our own meals. And of course the most importantly, a direct access to the water area to go fishing.
We would like to invite those of you who are interested in fishing to check our offer for fisching stations posted on e-turysta.com website.
