A few hundred meters from our house is the "WAŁY" stronghold known in Poland and Europe from archaeological discoveries. The oldest heavily fortified defensive settlements from the beginning of the Bronze Age (2000-1300 BC) were discovered here - this place is called the "Carpathian Troy". One of the oldest wooden churches in Poland from the 15th century with polychrome from the 16th century has also been preserved in Trzcinica and the remains of the palace and park complex. Trzcinica - a village in Poland located in the Podkarpackie Voivodeship, in the Jasielski poviat, in the Jasło commune, in south-eastern Poland, on the outskirts of the Low Beskids, in the western part of Dół Jasielsko-Sanocki. In the years 1975-1998 the town was located in the Krosno province. The Ropa River flows through the village. Trzcinica is known for archaeological excavations. Researchers discovered here the oldest in Poland, strongly fortified settlements from the beginning of the Bronze Age of the group of the Pleszów culture of the Mierzanowice culture, the first defensive settlement on the northern side of the Carpathians of the Transcarpathian culture population of the Ottoman culture (Füzesabony). There is a monumental early medieval stronghold, the oldest Slavic stronghold and the best preserved defensive structure from this period in Lesser Poland. About 150,000 various monuments were found here, mostly unknown in Poland so far, often unique on a European scale. These discoveries in a completely new light set the beginnings of the Bronze Age in this part of Europe, and also change many views on the early Middle Ages. Stanisław Gamrat of the Sulima coat of arms (before 1380 - 1455), magnate, castellan, staroste son of Stanisław, brother of Jan, staroste of Biecki (or his father from the first marriage) was associated with Trzcinica. He wrote constantly from Klimontów, and sometimes from Trzcinica. And after him Trzcinica was inherited by his son Jan Gamrat (Biecki starosta) from Klimontów, the Sulima coat of arms (died after 1434), Biecki staroste (from 1423), brother of Stanisław, Połaniecki castellan. He came from the Sandomierz region, and in the vicinity of Jasło and Żmigród leased the kingship (Brzyście, Samokląski, Tarchów, Trzcinica).
