From 1975 to 1998, the town administratively belonged to the Nowy Sącz Voivodeship. Known as the pearl of Polish spas, it is one of the most interesting resort towns in Poland. Its unique character stems from its proximity to picturesque mountains, its unique mineral waters, and its abundance of tourist attractions. Krynica Zdrój is a center for winter and summer sports, a health resort and spa treatment center, and a hub for festivals, concerts, and cultural events. The vast number of tourist attractions available year-round makes Krynica a place where you can't get bored, whether you're an active or relaxing person. Ski slopes, toboggan runs, hiking and biking trails, salt caves, and mineral baths are just a few of what this place has to offer.
