Friendly and professional service will allow you a wonderful holiday at any time of the year :) SZCZYRK - a town located high in the mountains (the center is located at an altitude of 460 m), it is known primarily as a winter sports resort and center. The first mention of the town comes from 1866. As a health resort, Szczyrk began to develop in the interwar period, however, intensive development took place after World War II, when the chairlift to Skrzyczne was built. The name of the place comes from the word szczerk (small pebbles, litter). In 1997, the Youth Olympic Winter Sport was organized in Szczyrk. Attractions of Szczyrk: -Wooden church of St. Jakub, which was built at the end of the 18th century and then expanded in 1937-39; - A brick chapel from 1829; -Pre-war wooden villas; -The Sanctuary on Górka - in 1894 the Holy Mother appeared to a shepherdess Julianna Pezda. During the construction of the church, a spring gushed out of the slope (probably it has healing power).
