Dziwnów is located in the central part of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, in the northern part of the Kamień County. The city is located on the Baltic Sea, at the mouth of the Dziwna Strait. To the south, the city lies on the Kamieński Lagoon and Wrzosowska Bay, which are part of the Dziwna River. The town is located on the Szczecin Coast. The southwestern part of the city lies on Wolin Island, while the northeastern part lies on part of the Dziwna Spit, which belongs to the Trzebiatów Coast mesoregion. According to data from January 1, 2010, the city's area is 4.97 km².
