The hostel building was built around 1895 in the place of a roadside inn named Hartmann. Initially it served as a magnificent inns in the Sudeten style, and later also a hostel providing accommodation named after Passhöhe Baud or Gasthaus von Furchner ("On the Burned Pass"). After discovering the values of the area by the skiers, the house was transformed into a tourist hostel. The Kłodzko Mountain Society, which became the owner of the building in 1927, after the renovation lasting until 1933 gave it the name Brandbaude. It is also known that in 1938, 30 beds were offered here. An interesting fact from the time of building near the Sudeten Highway are bunkers masked as outbuildings.
After 1945, the building was devastated and looted. In 1948, the hostel was taken over by the Klodzki PTT Branch, which, after renovation, increased the number of beds and renamed them to the "Spalona" or "On the Burned Pass". The number of beds was 80, of which 30 in the collective hall in the attic. The building was renovated several times. At the end of the sixties, the name was changed to the PTTK "Jagodna" hostel, which still exists today. The dining room, housed in a glass-covered veranda, with its old décor has retained much of the climate of the old inn. Convenient access, location on the ridge in a place where several roads, forest paths and tourist routes intersects makes the hostel an excellent starting point for tourists practicing various forms of tourism - motorists, hikers, cyclists and skiers. There is a ski lift nearby, there are maintained cross-country skiing trails, there are also numerous hiking and cycling routes, and the Sudeten Horse Trail runs through here.
