We cordially invite you to Gorce - to the "Stare wierchy" hostel. The PTTK hostel named after Czesław Trybowski is located at an altitude of 968 m above sea level in the western part of Gorce, on a beautiful forest glade. From this place there is a beautiful view of the panorama of the Tatra Mountains and the Island Beskids, some peaks Gorce, and even Babia Góra. The surroundings of "Stare Wierchów" are mainly spruce forests and clearings - in the summer full of blueberries. There are numerous trails nearby, which guarantees convenient conditions for hiking, horse riding or cycling. In winter, the slope of the glade slopes allows for downhill skiing, while the lift is open near the shelter. There are also cross-country skiing trails in the area.There are 34 beds in the hostel, you can also pitch a tent next to the building. We offer 7 cozy and warm rooms: • double - PLN 60 per person (bed linen included), • four-bed - PLN 40 per person (without bed linen), • six-bed room - PLN 38 per person (without bed linen), • seven-bed room - PLN 38 person (without bed linen), • nine-person - PLN 35 per person (without bed linen). The price of accommodation on the floor in the absence of vacancies (so-called "soil") is 20 PLN. Breaking the tent - PLN 15. There are also sanitary facilities and bathrooms with hot water for tourists. We accept rebates for: PTTK members, honorary blood donors and Large Family Card holders. We are happy to organize: - stays for schoolchildren and students, - events for organized groups, - holiday and Christmas and New Year stays combined with numerous attractions, - bonfires, kettles - and everything else, which is associated with tourism, integration and tourism entertainment. We recommend tasty home and regional cuisine, as well as drinks: • breakfast, • home-made dinners, • home-made cake and other sweets, • mulled wine. You can get here by following the route from Rabka, Olszówka, Nowy Targ or Obidowa. It is a place very well known to tourists, guides or rescuers who had the opportunity to like Gorce and from time to time choose this mountain range as the destination of their trip. It is also a place that witnessed rogue raids and revelries (in the 16th century, when the so-called Royal Road ran through Stare Wierchy, focusing on the entire traffic at that time, there was a roadside inn visited by "good boys"), count hunting (these areas belonged to Count Wodzicki) and war turmoil (during World War II, partisans were stationed in the shelter, for whom it was a great starting point and sanitary). The younger generation knows this place from numerous tourist events (rallies, trips or campfires), skiing (there was a short ski lift), or just a nice stop for tourists wandering along the red "main Beskid trail" to Turbacz or further.
