Trzebcz Szlachecki is small and quiet village with quite a history. It is dated back to 13th century. Since 1805 BC it belonged to the family of Slaski- member of this family were well respected and impactful for Polish history, especially in first half of 20th century. To this day you can visit the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary from the beginning of 14th century and see the palace from 19th . In the church there is possibly the oldest copy of the painting of Salus Populi Romani from the Basilica of Saint Mary Major in Rome from the end of 16th century.
During your relaxing stay at the premises of Ostoja you can also plan trips to gothic Toruń, Bydgoszcz and Grudziądz, take a plane ride in Watorowo, see medieval architecture of Chełmno- the City of Lovers with the relicts of Saint Valentine or take a dip in nearby lakes in Chełmża and Starogród. In close by Nawra, you can witness renovations of another place, which will become the Museum of Polish Gentry. If you enjoy going for a bike trip, you can take one of the many routes, eg. one to Zbocza Płutowskie, where nature reserve Natura 2000 is located.
