Zakopane - a city of legend, a resort, the capital of the Tatras and in winter of all of Poland. It is in good taste to come here in winter for skiing. The proximity of the slopes, unique atmosphere, colourful highland folklore and beautiful landscapes will surely make you come back here many more times.
For some, Zakopane is a base for trips to the only high Polish mountains, others come here just to walk along Krupówki - the main promenade of the city, a place of meetings and entertainment. There are plenty of cosy cafes, exquisite restaurants, souvenir shops and art galleries here. Zakopane is not only about leather kierpce, warm highland wool sweaters, wooden ciupagi or oscypek, but above all, the atmosphere of this place that is not found anywhere else.
