Zamek Królewski w RydzynieRydzyna, pl. Plac Zamkowy 1

The Royal Castle in Rydzyna is located with a 12 ha park on one of the three islands surrounded by a moat. It is a baroque building built in the years 1680-1695 for the Leszczyński family. In the years 1704-1709 it was the residence of the Polish king Stanisław Leszczyński. From 1736 the castle passed into the hands of the Sułkowski family, who made significant changes to the castle and its surroundings, visible to this day. Józef Sułkowski, the famous adjutant of Napoleon Bonaparte, was raised here, and in the interwar period the Castle was the seat of the Sułkowski Gymnasium, known throughout Poland. It was burned down by Soviet troops in 1945. It was restored to its former glory by the Association of Polish Mechanical Engineers and Technicians (SIMP). The most attractive part of the castle open to visitors is the second floor, where we can admire rooms decorated in Baroque and Classicist style, along with accompanying exhibitions. Currently, you can visit the hunting exhibition, the exhibition of weapons from the 1000-year-old period, the exhibition of utility silver from the 18th century, and the numismatic exhibition with collections from around 2000 years ago. There are also many interesting places in the castle's surroundings that are attractive to visitors.

People staying overnight receive a mini-guide, thanks to which they can visit the castle independently at any time.

The castle also organizes many cultural events, such as: New Year's concerts, vintage vehicle rallies, military picnics, contemporary music concerts, and theater performances. The castle is also a place for various family events (from christenings, communion ceremonies, anniversaries, to weddings) and corporate events and conference and training events. Each of these events can be held indoors for up to 300 people, and outdoors for up to approximately 5,000 people.
